My Adventures in HR is Gaylene's journey through a very interesting career field that is all about people, developing and maintaining relationships, creating and improving processes and procedures, following laws and rules. It's about change and definitely has some drama, some fun and not-so-fun times, and some laughter too.After working in logistics/transportation for six years, Gaylene moved into Human Resources. One of the best parts of working in HR for her was the variety of responsibilities. No two days were ever the same. She says that Human Resources is not an easy job, but it is still very rewarding. Gaylene acknowledges and appreciates all of the great folks that helped her along the way.We always have the opportunity to learn from other people's experiences. It is the author's hope that the beginner in HR finds helpful tips on how to negotiate through the maze and that some supervisors might appreciate the assistance HR can provide. Enjoy
