Multi-Column Layout in CSS

Web designers have often looked at newspapers and magazines with a jealous eye, wanting to borrow their multi-column structure for cases where wide swaths of text aren't the right answer. CSS responded with specifications for multiple columns, and browsers are finally catching up with support. Web browsers still aren't newspapers, and content needs to work across devices, but this extra tool in your arsenal will make it much easier to create attractive layouts.
