Twins Cole and Willow are smart, resourceful, and good-natured. This is true even when something horrible happens, like one of their shoes goes missing, or they make the acquaintance of a carnivorous fish, or they return home to find that their parents have vanished.

With only one clue – a mysterious letter left by a mysterious stranger – Cole and Willow must unravel the secrets of their parents’ disappearance, but there are deeply unpleasant and mostly awful grownups on their tail.
