Monsters: A Dismal Awakening

Twelve-year-old Jerry Baker thinks monsters do not exist-until something strange happens in his neighborhood just outside New York City. One night after he is chased by a creature with piercing eyes, he wonders if what he has just lived through is real. When ferocious monsters appear at a sleepover with his best friend, Jerry is suddenly thrown into a terrifying world that defies explanation and forces him to rely on his intelligence to stay one step ahead of the creatures. In his new reality, nothing can be taken for granted. With more questions than answers, Jerry is left alone to fight a battle he is unsure he can ever win.
