The book proposes a Model of Excellence for expert Brazilian aerobic gymnastics coaches, based on the cognitive approach accessed through Ericsson and Simon's Protocol Analysis. The coaches' reasoning structure is presented by converting their verbal reports, referring to the analysis of a specific task in the sport, into data that is organised and presented in the form of a Cognitive Map.
