No, it is not a spelling error. It is not "Dear" friends but "Deer" friends...as in Roe deer - Buck, Roe and Fawn.

When Anjuli and Lille-Tiger saw two deer the first time, their eyes widened, hair stuck out, tails all bottle cleaner brush like.
