Migrants in Agricultural Development

Rural migration invovling land settlement is often a positive force in agricultural development. This book examines its impact in nine case-studies covering a wide time-span in Australia, England, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Latin America, Tanzania, United States and Zambia. MIgrants never operate in a vacuum and this study shows how they attempt to cope withg new restraints and opportunities.
