Miechov Memorial Book, Charsznica and Ksiaz

This is the English translation of the memorial book of the destroyed Jewish Communities of Miechov, Charsznica and Ksiaz, Poland

This book contains first-hand descriptions of the rich life in these Jewish communities before the Shoah and eye-witness accounts of its destruction.

The stories in this book provide a great insight into the lives of the people who lived there and a revelation of the support that they provided in the founding of the State of Israel and its academic institutions.

Great respect should be paid to those who made the effort and took the time to have the stories originally assembled into this book. Especially, Shimshon Dov Yerushalmi, who is mentioned with in the story told by Shmuel Berger at page 270 and also those men- tioned by Mr. Berger at page 408.

May this book serve as a memory to those who perished and the community that was destroyed.
