Mechanic's Diary

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The author of the Mechanic's Diary was averse to the publication of his works until after his death, which occurred July 26, 1906. His reason was that he did not write for popular approval, but to present the truth, as he was able to discover it. He believed that the publication Of the truth would hurt no man, but not courting public controversy, he concluded to pass his days in peace and let the future take issue with his deductions, if it would.
