Mattie: A Patchwork Masterpiece

Out of the rural south, Alabama grew countless generations of strong African-American men and women whose contributions to the Universe can never be fully measured or appreciated. Ms. Mattie was one of those women. Mattie: A Patchwork Masterpiece is about the journey of Ms. Mattie and the lives she impacted as seen reflectively through the eyes of her granddaughter. In the author's introspective thoughts, Ms. Mattie is the common thread that connected the family in spite of, or perhaps because of, hardships, grief, and pain. Yet, it was a family also knitted together by experiences that birth hope, joy, faith, and enduring strength.
