This book is a comprehensive study of the history and contemporary nature of the politics and relations between the two main subcontinental rivals of South Asia: India and Pakistan. It analyses the class structure and discourses of democracy and development in both India and Pakistan, apart from all the major issues that dominate the history and contemporary politics of India-Pakistan relations.
