Manuel d'Étymologie Lexicale Romane

Inspired by the tradition of Romance etymological dictionaries such as the FEW and the LEI, and picking up on the paradigmatic debate recently raised by the D Rom, the Manual of Romance Lexical Etymology presents research methods currently used in Romance etymology, differentiating between inherited lexicon, borrowings and internal creations. Focused on Romance linguistics, the manual also engages in dialogue with the field of general etymology.
