Man About Town

The Man About Town is a hilarious collection of musings, essays and sketches from the admirable and ever-versatile A P Herbert. As our noble author ponders on such terrible quandaries as which club to luncheon in, the perils of 'foreign' foods, disgracefully tedious cocktail parties, and why it is so awfully difficult to find a decent golfing partner, we are reminded of a world that is, for so many of us, long since past. But as we mourn for this lost world, A P H teasingly reminds us that though times might change, people never do.
