"I'm dead," Tippi Mulgrew groaned. Violet rushed down the hall. Instead of laughing and the clicking of mahjong tiles, she heard hacking coughs and moans coming from the tournament room. She froze. It looked like a scene from a Hollywood disaster movie... Welcome to Goose Down, Ohio. It's the Goose Down Senior Citizens' Mahjong Tournament and the words, "I'm dead" take on a whole new meaning when the friendly-and not so friendly-competition is brought to a dead stop. For the second time in as many years, Sheriff Grange and his small department of law enforcement are searching for a killer, dodging red herrings, real estate developers and a nefarious family of misfits.
