A mysterious new star hangs in the night sky. What does it mean? Prince Matthias has puzzled over the star's movements, consulting scrolls and scholars to divine its message. As his father's health begins to fail, Matthias is sent on a mission to discover the secret of the celestial event, and an old soldier with a hidden past will guide his way. Unbeknownst to Matthias, he isn't the only one chasing the star. In his twilight years, Master Artie, accompanied by his faithful servant Basil, has sold his earthly possessions and taken to the road to find out more about the celestial anomaly. Magus Jamaus, convinced the star heralds a major event, has spent long hours arguing with his fellow teachers in the Temple of the Moon. Something deep inside him tells him to pursue the star. Through enemies, foreign lands, and harsh terrain, the star will draw these three wise men together and lead them on a journey to change their lives-and the world-forever.
