Macroeconomic data and the Cameroon job market

An analysis of Cameroon's labor market reveals some worrying situations. The economic environment, which is once again favorable, is not yet producing the expected effects on the labor market. The mechanisms for reaping the fruits of growth are blocked by the administrative and political system, the political will to focus on development issues is still weak, and the legal and regulatory environment is not conducive to the development of certain economic sectors with the potential to create new jobs. Cameroon's economy is the most diversified in Central Africa, thanks not only to a large number of foreign companies but also to numerous national groups. The country is home to a wide variety of activities, notably in the forestry and agricultural sectors, hydrocarbons, the beverage industry, sugar mills, oil mills, soap factories, aluminum, metallurgy, primary wood processing, etc. This book is an analysis of certain macro-economic indicators and their impact on the labor market in Cameroon.
