Lowly Afternoon Shadows

Eric Turner is young, ambitious and worthless by his own standards. This is nothing new to him. Neither is the choice to lose his soul while gaining the life he imagines is greater. Through the torment of wishing and begging just to have one moment of normal life, his mind creates an alternate living standard. After months of digging his own grave, Eric attempts to pull himself out of disappointment and quickly he finds that the world does not care for a man who cares not for himself. Taking his first few steps as a free man he is struck back to a reality when the most precious gift given to him is taken, leaving the belief that even the Creator has turned His back on him now.
