This novel tells the story of the events that took place in the U.S., the Caribbean, and in Cuba in 1898, during the Spanish-American War. The narrative explores its causes and consequences and tells of armed combat between Spain and the U.S.The Story of Two Loves is intertwined with the narrative. The sweethearts met and fell in love during the War, and fought to preserve their shared future together, and that of America. The narrative of the War is historically correct and true. Carlos M.
