Leadership in America, both in government and business, has been corroded by elitist politicians, unpatriotic Wall Street executives, and a vapid entertainment industry - all of whom have altered the cultural landscape of our country for the worse. Noble public-service ideals, servant-leadership, and Judeo-Christian values that had served as the bedrock of American culture are now regarded at best as irrelevant, and at worst, fodder to ridicule. Is it too late to pull ourselves out of the murky quagmire that threatens to make us a second-rate country? Must we go the way of so many other great civilizations which decayed from within? This book examines the noble values found in some of the past great leaders of Ancient Rome, plus the virtues of humility and piety of early American colonists anchored on a firm foundation of faith. Principles and skill sets are introduced as a way to bring forward the best of the past that made America a great nation, not as a way of reliving the past, but as a way of finding our footing again and recapturing our vision.
