No one knows what became of John Pittiss, save for Carlos Muela Jim nez y Pepe Baco Navarro; two inmates at the Dham Psychiatric Penitentiary. It is this mystery that draws Lucile Duch teau Avril, the field doctor in charge, into a series of sessions aimed at uncovering his fate. Yet, what Carlos Muela Jim nez is about to recount-based on years of stories told to him by his brother-in-law, Pepe Baco Navarro-seems like yet another madness. One that spirals toward a near future, where a failed writer, Lucas Henry Storm Johnson-a former hitman who is suicidal and claims to have lost everything to artificial intelligence-decides, once again, to turn to his jester in order to eliminate the very person who hired him for his last job. To do so, he must not only find this man but also reckon with a previous assignment that still casts its shadow over him.
