Lockdown Life

In March 2020 the UK went into lockdown. Eventually. In the days, months and year that passed, Lisa took to her notepad and keyboard to express her rollercoastering emotions throughout this time. From outrage and despair, to boredom and sadness. Also sometimes, a bit of hope.

2020 and early 2021 also saw a lot of unrest in society as a whole and protest became a regular feature of this strangest of years. This collection touches on a range of reactions to these moments through poetry and what Lisa calls her 'angry acrostics'. What emerged from this is a truly relatable time capsule for this 'strange time' (a phrase not used anywhere between the covers of this book).
