Wrestlers do not die of old ageDuke Redmond once prowled the squared circle as Duke Continental, the flamboyant heel who made his mark during wrestling's golden age of the 1950s and 60s. Now it's 1976, and Duke is broken and battered, working as a tech at the VA Hospital in Los Angeles, living with the pain of the life he left behind.As his former wrestling colleagues die, Duke has no reason to think they might be victims of murder-after all, wrestlers don't die of old age. They fall prey to the very same pains and miseries that Duke himself is struggling with. But when a grieving widow asks Duke to investigate her husband's apparent suicide, he begins navigating a twilight world of helter-skelter violence that will force him to confront his own past. And possibly even learn to live it down.
