Life In Moscow; Communism and Now

Twenty-eight short stories depict life in Moscow, USSR, in the mid-1980s, focusing on various aspects of everyday life drawn from the author's own experience. Each story is narrated in a personal style and concludes with a scientific update on how the situation has evolved over the past 25 years, i.e., to about 2010. These updates highlight the domestic and international rise of former true communists-now members of the "e;United Russia"e; party-and their overwhelming drive for personal wealth acquisition, which has become the dominant principle of both domestic and foreign policy.
