Li Chengjun is native-born and successful Macao cultural workers and in more than half century, he runs a newspaper, writes and givers lecture and walks among journalist, writer mad social activist and has rich practice and theory to run a newspaper and is devoted to creation and development of Macao literature and has written evaluation articles in literature and art.Three works of him before many years Daidan Collection, Jottings of Midnight Tower and Time and Tide as poetry and a batch of scattered works all have certain influence on society.Involving scope of these articles is wide and time span is large and cultural accumulation is deep and has contained many news and culture, especially precious history materials of Macao social development.The author is open-minded with sincere emotion and writes with penetrating criticism and portrait is fine, smooth and lifelike.These articles are just like a long history scroll and brilliant and varied and constitute love of him to homeland and countryside and persistence to cultural undertakings and has displayed his wide humanistic feelings.Works of Li Chengjun have vivid time characteristics and strong Macao feeling and have symbolic significance of time and area, but there are many years since publication of three single books and whole appearance is hard to be observed.We will sort and compile his works again and will publish it by dividing book 1 and book 2 by relatively system collective works form and book 1 focuses on review and political comment and book 2 includes articles of literary criticism, teachers and companionship and anecdote in the art circle, etc.Purpose of such compilation is to make readers know Li Chengjun and his articles more comprehensively and further know sequence of recent-period and modern local culture in Macao and some traces of social development.
