What's Wrong With Trying to Help?

Gertie is disappointed when Grandma Trudy doesn't volunteer to help in the new school garden. So since she's the only one there who knows EVERYTHING about growing vegetables, Gertie tries to help instead. Soon everyone is calling her a bossy know-it-all. Janie says sometimes you have to just wait and see how things are going to turn out. But how can things turn out right if they start out all wrong?

Gertie Green (you'd better not call her Gertrude ) is a feisty first-grader with the spunk of Junie B. and the literal mind of Amelia Bedelia.
