Rae Reynolds is an old soul, a mother, a survivor, a therapist, a voyeur of life, and a warrior who has listened to stories from many. Now she invites others into her experiences and the lessons she has learned along the way with the hope that her story provides encouragement to listen to the heart while journeying to a place of healing and inner peace. Reynolds begins by chronicling her experiences as she grew up amid fear and violence and made many mistakes that prompted later reflection on whether her past owned her or whether she owned the past. As she matured and struggled to find a path forward and happiness, Reynolds discloses how she turned the mirror around to change her patterns and behaviors, retrain her brain to have a more positive outlook, modify the narrative, and transform from being a pawn of circumstance to an empowered woman focused on healing herself in order to help others heal as well.
