She is a teacher with a degree in Portuguese/English Language and Literature, and an English Language Translator and Interpreter. She specialises in Portuguese Language Teaching Methodology and English Language Teaching, as well as a Master's Degree in Languages, Language and Literature. She has worked as a teacher in the final years of primary school, secondary school and youth and adult education, and as a trainer in the areas of Portuguese and English for the Campo Grande Municipal Department of Education, and currently works as a copywriter.
