Land of Gods

Invoking a spiritual as well as a physical journey to an exotic, distant land, The Land of Gods features a collection of photographs by Patrice Delmotte. The works capture the beliefs, ceremonies, and rituals of Bali. The photos awaken the senses, presenting a photographic promenadecapturing the smell of the incense, the music of the gamelan, and the smiles and gestures of friendship the Balinese are proud to extend. Influenced by Sebastio Salgado, Delmotte offers an aesthetic research of light and more particularly of the light of his youth, the clear-obscure so popular to the Flemish painters. The Land of God effectively captures the photographers deep passion and love for Asia.
