Labour Relations and the New Unionism in Contemporary Brazil

This text examines developments in Brazilian labour relations. Analyzing the state of labour relations in Brazil, the author shows how the proposals advanced by the new unionism have put strong pressure on the corporate system still legally enforced and have successfully developed a new political culture he terms the "political culture of active citizenship".
