La Noche Lóbrega: for cello and piano

"La Noche L brega" for cello and piano is intended to convey the emotional content of the traditional folksong, "La Noche L brega", (the gloomy night). It is based on a neo-Romantic aesthetic that helps to convey the passionate sadness of the text. The music is entirely original adaptation of the folksong, and so there is not quotation, but developing variation.
