That's when her grandma allowed her to use her ancient typewriter. Of course, Paddy couldn't read, write or spell back then, so her first books were incoherent gibberish, but schooling helped. And playing Scrabble after dinner with her family-of-origin definitely helped. And now, after sixty-five years, her stories are finally starting to make sense Paddy resides in California with her husband, Stephen, their cat, Tuffy, and their new puppy, Princess, whom you will meet in future books, Lord-willing.
