Juréia-Itatins-SP Protected Areas Mosaic

This book aims to bring together actions carried out by the partnership between the IF - at the time the Itingu u Centre, Unesp - S o Vicente and local residents. This partnership made it possible to evaluate and train students, residents and park rangers during practical visitation activities, carrying out surveys with tourists and training residents through 360-hour courses. The surveys were carried out by students from Unesp-S o Vicente and revealed the profile of the visitor. The project showed the viability of the sustainable use of protected areas such as parks for ecological tourism, where tourism and education go hand in hand.
