Katie and Kai were as close as two siblings could get - they were twins. Inseparable from birth, they protected each other fiercely, right up until the day Kai died. In an awful act of violence, Kai is taken away from Katie, murdered by the very step-father who swore to protect and love them.

As Katie struggles to cope with the loss of her brother, life goes on around her as if nothing has changed. But for her, none of it seems to matter anymore. She lost a part of herself the night her brother died and it's up to her to figure out how to keep living without him. She knows that's what he would have wanted.
