Juanita

This historical romance is based on the author's experience of living on a Cuban slaveholder's plantation from 1833 to 1835. It centres on the visit of Helen Wentworth to a friend's plantation and the love affair between Juanita, a beautiful slave with whom the plantation owner's son falls in love.
