Jewish Architecture

In this book, the author contends that while the architecture of any other nation typically refers to buildings constructed on its own land, the term "Jewish Architecture" should specifically encompass structures erected in the Jewish country, rather than those built by and for Jews, as is commonly understood. Given the absence of the Jewish state for the past two millennia, buildings constructed by and for Jews on the land of other nations should be regarded as "Jewish Heritage." Consequently, buildings within the borders of Israel should be classified as "Israeli Architecture."

Nonetheless, spanning over the last two hundred years, and predating the re-establishment of Israel, the Jewish diaspora has significantly contributed to the evolution of a distinct global "Jewish Architecture," a phenomenon that this book aims to explore.
