Italica Et Romanica

On 27 April 1997, Prof. Dr. Drs. h.c. Max Pfister, editor of the "Lessico etimologico italiano" (LEI) and the "Zeitschrift fur romanische Philologie" (ZrP) and former president of the "Societe de linguistique romane" and honorary member of the executive comitee, will be celebrating his 65th birthday. To mark the occasion, pupils, friends and colleagues have assembled a three-volume festschrift containing close to 100 articles on topics of central concern to Max Pfister as a researcher and university teacher: the lexicology and lexicography of the Romance languages, philological problems of text editing, contact linguistics, comparative linguistics, grammatical description of the Romance languages, various areas of dialectology and onomastics, and aspects of external language history and the history of Romance studies as an academic discipline. The volume also includes name and subject indexes and a complete list of Max Pfister's publications."
