From an early age Terry Day had the sea in his blood, heading off to join the Royal Navy as a chef at the age of 16 he went on to explore many faraway places during the times at sea. This book takes us on a journey around the world with the Royal Navy while Terry meets some comical characters, has some life changing experiences, before moving on to other challenges. Terry then talks about his second career, in which he would serve 30 years with the fire service. Amidst all of this he shares his experiences as he heads out to sea on sailing ships and even takes part in the 2012 Olympic Games in London as a Dignitary Assistant.
