One of the principles on which Islamic civilization was founded is that it combined the needs of the body with the needs of the soul, and considered taking care of the body and its demands as necessary to achieve human happiness. Although it is not one of the missions of the prophets, peace be upon them, to teach people medicine, nor to clarify the cosmic sciences; This is left to human efforts, experiences, and scientific research. However, there have been clear prophetic texts that open the way for Muslims to learn medicine and practice it, and pave the way for them to correct the path and benefit from their predecessors and the geniuses in that field.The field of medical practice in the Islamic State was open to all scholars from various sects and religions who lived under the protection of Muslims. The number of Christian doctors who worked in the service of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Mutawakkil in the middle of the third century AH reached about 56 doctors.
