Is It Alive?

Is It Alive? is aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English/Language Arts, addressing Literacy.RI.K.2 and Literacy.L.K.5. This book introduces readers to the concept of whether things are alive with a large labeled photograph of living and non-living things. Objects such as trees, soccer balls, and cows along with explanatory text demonstrate the differentiating factors between living things and nonliving things. A graphic organizer in the back of the book places four objects into the categories of living and nonliving so that readers can review the concept.
