Intertwined

Written at the rebellious teenage years, while witnessing her country collapse and fall into conflicts, the efforts of everyone wasted and not remembered hard enough, with no interference, neither godly nor humanly, these words flowed Dina Al Kabani's mind. At times the words are sorrowful and sarcastic, at times angry and full of questioning that still has not found any answers till now. Seeing with her own eyes how our humanity never learns from its mistakes, how its efforts are day after day falling into the abyss of forgetfulness and negligence by others, the words streamed through the author's heart and seeped into the papers. Love is being shunned or used, dreams are wasted or easily substituted, fear inhabits everyone. These words and poems stem from a sadness looking for a glimpse of happiness and hope, and still struggling not to give up.
