International Primary English as a Second Language Workbook Stage 1

Written with a range of international contexts in mind, this highly flexible, 6-level course provides coverage of the Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language syllabus. Comprising an appealing, magazine style Student Book, extensive Workbook and supportive Teacher’s Guide, the course offers progression within and across levels.

The Workbooks link closely to the Student Books, providing additional activities related to the key topics presented in the Students Books. Learners are able to practise the four skills – Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening – and build their confidence and understanding of the key vocabulary and language structures covered in the syllabus. ‘Thinking Deeper’ tasks and projects challenge learners to stretch themselves by spending longer thinking about a topic and investigating it further.
The workbooks should be used together with the Student Books, to provide full syllabus coverage and give learners the opportunity to reinforce and consolidate their learning, while developing fluency and accuracy.
