This work contains reviews of current research activities in intelligent network technology and emerging advanced services based on software-controlled telecommunication systems. It includes information on both research and development of market issues, service creation, database issues, performance, standards and intelligent networks, and multimedia and mobility services. The book is derived from the selected proceedings of the Conference on Intelligent Networks and New Technologies, sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing held in Denmark, in August 1995.
