This book constitutes the refereed proceedigs of the International Workshop on Innovative Internet Computing Systems, IICS 2001, held in Ilmenau, Germany, in June 2001. The nine revised full papers and five short papers presented together with two invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 30 submissions.
