the humble collection you're currently holding was once nothing more than a crazy idea to write a single short poem every day for a full year, affix my words to the back of a postcard & send them into the wind, bound for a stranger somewhere in the world.

what i didn't realize was that over the course of that single year, those poems, the brief moments of quiet reflection when i allowed myself to bask in the world around me, the mundane, the ordinary, they would change my life forever.
