India's Tryst with Constitutional Freedom

The Constitution of India prescribes freedom at six levels under its Article 19, which include speech & expression, religion, education, movement & residence throughout India, peaceful assembly and formation of unions. Coupled with this comes the recognition of the life under Article 21, which stands as a broad umbrella to incorporate any and all rights bearing sufficient nexus to the notion of life, the most contemporary ones being the right to privacy and the right to speedy trial. This book looks into contemporary legal issues surrounding multi-faceted implementation of freedom vis-a-vis the Indian Constitution.

Undertaking a doctrinal approach and reform oriented research, the questions highlighted are The Right to Speedy Trial, The Right to Privacy, Whistleblowing and the Right to access legitimate information and Parliamentary Privileges vis-a-vis Good Governance.
