Increase in the capacity of railroad lines

The monograph analyzes the state and development of throughput and carrying capacity of railway lines. The state of the problem on domestic railroads and abroad related to the increase of passenger train speeds is considered and it is established that it is possible to increase the speed of traffic both on the operating lines when passing a mixed flow of passenger and freight trains, as well as by building specialized high-speed highways when passing only passenger trains.
