Incoherence and Wigner Stability in Nonlinear Plasma

A. Roy Chowdhury graduated from the Presi- Presidencyollege, Calcutta University, Kolkata, India, in physics and mathematics in the year 1964, and received the Ph.D. degree in high-energy physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He is currently a Professor Emeritus with the Department of Physics, Jadavpur University. He was an Associate Member of ICTP, Trieste, Italy, from 1982 to 1988. He has published four books from Chapman and Hall, U.K. He has done extensive research work on plasma physics, nonlinear waves, soliton, integrable systems, nonlinear optics, and chaos. Dr. Chowdhury was a European Economic Community Fellow to Paderborn, Germany, in 1989
