I'm Not From Here is a collection of stories, scraps, thoughts, and notes written between 2018 and 2020, the majority of which are taken from journals and the blog "A Scene in Public". Collected, they sketch a journey of both recovery and distance. From New York to Florida, Texas to Vermont, oblivion to sobriety, Morris seeks a home far from dependence and attempts to discover an understanding and acceptance of what he is without it, if anything at all.
