"If So Carried by the Wind" is about Beatnik legend Hal Chase who fled Jack Kerouac and New York City to build boats in the hills of Paso Robles in pursuit of the true American dream. Two artists stumble upon Hal Chase's utopic family living out the last epoch of the U.S. empire in a self-sustaining serenity and turn their world upside down by digging into Hal's past that he hid from his children.
