Hurt on Purpose

Jermaine E. Butts is a church-going man, singer, and songwriter who believes that actions are more powerful than words. Leading by example, he volunteers at community centers, serves at his local church, feeds the hungry, and participates in Save the Children and Nature Conservancy charities. He is passionate about working with young people.

Surviving years of abuse and growing up in the unstable atmosphere of the foster care system, Jermaine overcame his identity crisis and earned a bachelor of arts. He is currently on a healing journey, living a life of balance and substance, and drawing strength from the fact that God orchestrates life so well that even bad experiences are purposeful and end up leading to the greater good.

A resident of Boston, Massachusetts, Jermaine has found his voice and is making an impact wherever he goes by living a life of prayer, praise, prioritization, and purpose.
